Microneedling Facial

microneedling.png

Microneedling is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that uses fine needles to create thousands of controlled micro- punctures in the top layer of the skin. This stimulates your body to boost its own collagen and elastin production, helping to improve the appearance of the skin.

As part of the treatment, we microneedle meso serums into the skin which stimulates multi-level skin regeneration and helps with skin hydration and elasticity, as well as slowing down ageing.

Microneedling has a range of benefits including improving skin texture and firmness, reducing fine lines and wrinkles, refreshing dull tired skin, fading acne scars, minimising the appearance of large pores and much more. It is the ultimate skin boost for all ages and skin types!

Microneedling can be enjoyed as a one-off treatment, but for best results we would recommend a course of three treatments (4-6 weeks apart) before moving on to treatments every 3-6 months.

If your skin needs a boost, you are sure to love microneedling!

FAQ's

How does microneedling it work?

Tiny needles puncture your skin, which causes your body to respond as if there has been a minor injury. This starts the natural healing process - more blood flows to the area, the skin releases growth factors, fibroblast cells are activated, new collagen and elastin fibres are made. The results... firmer, brighter, healthier skin.

How many treatments will I need and when will I start to see results?

Microneedling is a treatment that continues to work its magic over a number of weeks. You will have a short-term radiant glow and after 2-4 weeks your skin texture will improve as new cells form. Collagen production peaks at 4-6 weeks, which is why a series of monthly treatments are optimal for long-lasting results as you start your microneedling journey.

Does microneedling hurt?

Microneedling causes mild discomfort rather than pain - lots of people actually enjoy the feeling of microneedling. It feels like a gentle prickly sensation, and once the serums are added the skin feels cool and soothed. We have a range of different needles, and will select the most appropriate based on your comfort level and desired outcomes.

Who can have microneedling?

Microneedling is a great all-round treatment and is suitable for most ages and skin types. If you are concerned with ageing, wrinkles, sun damage, scarring, enlarged pores, stretch marks and pigmentation, this is a great option for you.

Are there any reasons not to have microneedling?

This treatment should not be carried out if you have open lesions, skin cancer or are prone to certain types of scarring. If you have acne, the treatment can be caried out on areas of clear skin, but we would avoid any areas with pustules. You must be over 18.

What should I expect after the treatment?

After your treatment your skin may be slightly sensitive, but we will give you a hydrating sheet mask to use at home to soothe the skin. We recommend that you avoid extreme heat, sun and make-up for 24 hours, and any active ingredients in your skin care regime for 7 days, such as acids, retinol and Vitamin C.
